NEW DELHI: It is time to tantalise your taste buds. ‘Dilli Ke Pakwaan’ is back with a delectable confluence of some lip-smacking and mouth-watering cuisines from different parts of the country. One can also find Delhi’s famous street food here.The food festival is held every year at Baba Kharak Singh Marg during the winters. The 10-day festival will continue till January 1.Delhi’s famous gol gappe and bhalla papdi chaat, Rajasthan’s daal baati choorma, Bihar’s litti chokha and Mumbai’s vada paav — Delhiites can savour all of these and a lot more food items at Dilli Ke Pakwaan. Those who enjoy non-vegetarian food items, kebabs and chicken changezi from Old Delhi, and Lucknow’s biryani are available.Organised by Delhi Students’ Talent Association and Big Shows in collaboration with Delhi government, the festival was inaugurated by CM Arvind Kejriwal through videoconferencing. The festival has been a regular fixture of Delhi’s cultural calendar since 2010.Apart from a variety of delicacies, cooking, singing and dance competitions for all age groups and live stage performances will also be there. Selfie points, games, kids’ zone and swings are some other attractions.The festival will have performances from celebrities every day. Singers Daler Mehndi, Hansraj Hans, Ashok Masti and Jassi; and TV actors Ravi Gosain, Bindiya Sarkar and Harshita Shukla are likely to attend the event. There will be a special programme on December 25.
