NEW DELHI: Leader of opposition in Delhi assembly Ramvir Singh Bidhuri has demanded a winter session of the House. He said the Kejriwal government has been running away from a discussion on the problems of the people. “That’s why the winter session has not been called yet, whereas it is mandatory to call three major sessions in a calendar year — the budget session, the monsoon session, and the winter session,” he said.“I urge speaker Ram Niwas Goyal to initiate the process of convening the winter session of Delhi Vidhan Sabha as per rules. The winter sessions of the Parliament and all the state assemblies are about to end, but the winter session of the Delhi legislative assembly has not been called yet. Even the Kejriwal government has not yet sent any proposal in this regard to the speaker,” Bidhuri said.He said that the Kejriwal government has been calling special sessions of the assembly for one or two days for the last several years. The government abolishes the question-answer hours and the voice of the opposition is suppressed, he said.He said this time the threat of corona is rising again, Delhi is forced to breathe toxic air due to pollution, and the poor have not been getting ration for two months.
