NOIDA: For Republic Day celebrations in the capital, the Noida traffic police will divert heavy vehicles at the Kalindi Kunj loop towards the Sector 94 postmortem house from 10 pm on January 25 to 2 pm on January 26 to restrict heavy vehicles’ entry into Delhi.Noida traffic inspector Ashutosh Singh said, “Traffic cops at the Kalindi Kunj bridge will guide truck drivers. If a truck enters the main stretch, Delhi Police will guide them back from the Kalindi Kunj crossing as there is no U-turn on the bridge.” At DND Flyway, police will guide truck drivers to take a U-turn at the toll plaza and reach the Noida Expressway and then the EPE. At Chilla Road, cops will ask the drivers to take a U-turn near Noida Gate (Mayur Vihar). Vedpal Singh, the president of Noida Transport Sanyukt Morcha, said the morcha would request truck drivers to follow the rules.Ghaziabad traffic police said that heavy vehicles’ entry to Delhi via NH-9 and Delhi-Meerut Expressway would remain restricted. Similar enforcement would be in place from Dabur T-Point to Maharajpuri and the Bhopura and Loni borders. Ramanand Kushwaha, ADCP Traffic, Ghaziabad, said police would guide commuters.Delhi Police will set up barricades at the borders and check all kinds of vehicles for safety reasons.
