He also submitted that the rape survivor had changed her address and, hence, she could not be contacted. Additional sessions judge Gaurav Rao said that the notice of the bail plea was issued on August 2 and, despite passing of almost three weeks, the SHO and the investigating officer (IO) made no sincere efforts to trace the rape survivor. “Only lame excuses are being made, which are repeatedly wasting the time of the court,” the court said in an order on August 20. It also noted that in other cases too, the SHO and the IO were repeatedly failing to file reply to bail applications, the IOs were not appearing to seek remand of the accused, survivors were not being produced, and no replies were being filed in interim compensation applications. “The SHO is flouting the orders of the court with impunity and there is no change in his conduct. This cannot be absolutely tolerated,” it stated. FOLLOW US ON SOCIAL MEDIAFacebookTwitterInstagramKOO APPYOUTUBE
