Image used for representative purpose onlyNOIDA: The traffic police have issued an advisory for traffic diversion on Sunday near Ramlila Maidan in Bhangel village, where the Tyagi community will stage a protest against the alleged harassment of Shrikant Tyagi and his family. There will be restrictions on traffic movement from the Lotus Boulevard society in Sector 100 to Maharshi Ashram Chowk. Traffic police will divert vehicles from Noida headed to Noida Phase 2 at Gejha T-Point for Shramik Kunj. The diverted vehicles will then move to Noida Sector 105 and Hajipur for the Noida expressway. Similarly, the traffic police will divert vehicles headed to Noida Phase 2 from the Noida expressway or Hajipur to Sector 105, Shramik Kunj, Gejha T-Point and onward. Ganesh Prasad Saha, the deputy commissioner of police, said that traffic police would also divert vehicles near Yatharth Hospital in Sector 110. “We will deploy traffic police personnel to guide the commuters,” he added. The traffic police have issued a helpline number – 9971009001 – for commuters. Senior police officials on Saturday also inspected the programme venue. Noida Police said five companies of the Uttar Pradesh Provincial Armed Constabulary (UP-PAC), along with Noida police, will be deployed during the programme. Shrikant Tyagi was arrested on charges of molestation, criminal intimidation and other Sections of IPC and also under Gangster Act after a video showed him shoving a woman in the society, where they both live.
