GHAZIABAD: An 11-year-old girl suffered injures after a Pitbull dog attacked her inside a society premises of Civitech Society at Ramprastha Green in Vaishali area. Police have registered a case against an unidentified resident of the society and further investigation is underway. According to the police, the incident took place on Wednesday (October 12) when the girl Tanisha Aggarwal was out in the park with her dog. “Around 6:30pm, some relatives of Aggarwal’s neighbours had come and their pitbull sneaked out as they opened the door. The girl was strolling in the park with her dog and pitbull came to attack her dog. The girl tried to save her dog when the pitbull scratch and bit her in the leg,” Devpal Singh, SHO of the Indirapuram police station said. On hearing the girl’s cries, her family members and other residents gathered and she was rushed to the hospital. “She has got injured in her leg and was later discharged from the hospital after treatment on the same day. The family members of the girl have given a complaint against owner of the pitbull without naming him. A case under section 289 (Negligent conduct with respect to animal) has been registered at Indirapuram police station. Further investigation is underway,” Singh said.
