GURUGRAM: A man was thrashed to death by his brother in Faridabad’s Mujeri village on Wednesday after an argument between them over a choked drain near their home, police said. The two brothers accused each other of creating blockage in the drain. The argument snowballed into a spat, following which one of them killed the other. The two brothers, Jila Singh and Narendra, got into the altercation after the drain outside their home got blocked on September 12. Next morning, Narendra along with his sons – Naveen, Bhudev and Rahul – allegedly thrashed Jila, his wife Sarita and daughter-in-law Seema. While Jija suffered severe injuries, the other two had minor injuries. Jila was rushed to Ballabgarh hospital, from where he was referred to Safdarjung hospital. On Thursday, Singh died during the treatment. Naveen, Bhudev and Rahul were arrested on Thursday and an FIR was registered at Sector 85 police station under IPC section 302 (punishment for murder). They will be produced in court on Friday. “Police are searching for Narendar who is on the run. We are tracing the culprits and will nab them soon,” said a police official.
