NEW DELHI: A man, aged around 25 years, died after he was allegedly hit by an unidentified vehicle in north Delhi’s Wazirabad on Wednesday. The victim has not been identified and no one has been arrested.Police said they received a PCR call around 4.30 am from a passer-by about a man lying close to a flyover. “The passer-by was going somewhere when he noticed a man lying unconscious and he informed the cops,” the officer said.A team from the local police station rushed to the spot and the victim was taken to a hospital, where he was declared dead. “After seeing the condition of his body, there is a possibility that after getting hit by a vehicle, he may have been crushed by other vehicles,” an officer said.Police said the victim had not been identified. Near the accident spot, construction work was going on. The police will ask security guards and labourers if they have any knowledge about the victim. They have registered a case in this regard and are analysing CCTV footage from nearby areas to get clues about the vehicles and the victim. “We are also waiting for the post-mortem report,” another officer said.
