GHAZIABAD: A 30-year-old man allegedly died after he had a heart attack while dancing in Modinagar’s Laxmi Nagar Colony on Holi. Vinit Kumar collapsed and was taken to a local hospital, where doctors said he died due to a heart attack, his family revealed. No police complaint has been filed in the matter. According to police, Kumar was a professional photographer and owned a photo studio in Bhajanpura in Delhi.A relative said on Wednesday, Kumar left his house to play Holi with friends in the neighbourhood. A stage was erected adjacent to his house gate, where a DJ was playing music and over 20 people were dancing since Wednesday morning. “Kumar had been continuously dancing for 15 minutes. Around 3pm, he stopped dancing and left the stage after he felt some pain in his head and chest. He first sat on a nearby chair. Later, he went inside his house and suddenly collapsed,” the relative said.”We immediately took him to a nearby private hospital, where he died during treatment. Doctors told us he died due to a heart attack,” he said. Ghaziabad DCP (rural) Ravi Kumar said they hadn’t received a complaint in the matter. “Action will be taken after the family members file a complaint with police,” he added.On October 18 last year, a 38-year-old gym trainer collapsed in Shalimar Bagh and died after a cardiac arrest, which the doctors believe may have been triggered by arrhythmia.
