NEW DELHI: Delhi Police has arrested a person for trying to snatch the belongings of a 29-year-old businessman and his wife in Mandir Marg.The businessman was changing his car’s tyre when the accused came and threatened his wife with a knife. When he intervened, the accused started beating him. Two traffic cops, hearing the noise, reached the spot and nabbed the accused.A case was registered on the complaint of the businessman. “The couple was going for dinner in Greater Kailash. When they reached PK Road around 9pm on January 21, their SUV’s left side tyre got punctured. The complainant parked his car on the footpath and started changing the tyre when the robber, who was later identified as Rohit Raj, came and threatened his wife to give all their belongings to him. When the victim objected to it, he started thrashing him,” said a police officer.“Two traffic cops, meanwhile, heard the noise and reached the spot. Raj tried to flee, but the businessman caught him by his shirt and handed him over to the cops,” the officer added.
