NEW DELHI: Three women and a man have been arrested for allegedly kidnapping a four-month-old boy from a hospital in Rohini, police said on Sunday. On February 6, a 22-year-old woman filed a complaint that her son was kidnapped from a hospital by an unidentified man and a case was registered, they added.Additional deputy commissioner of police (Rohini) Rajneesh Garg said the footage from more than 600 CCTV cameras was analysed to solve the crime. “The accused was seen sitting on a blue e-rickshaw with the child. The driver of the e-rickshaw was traced, and he informed us that he had dropped the man near Rohini Sector 18.”The fare was paid through an e-wallet so police traced the linked phone number. “We first nabbed a woman from a call centre in Badli Village where she was working as a telecaller. Later, other suspects, including the a grocery store owner, were apprehended and the boy was rescued.”According to police, one of the accused, a grocery store owner, has three daughters. She told her sister that she wanted a son. Her sister discussed the matter withthe other accused, and they hatched a plan to kidnap a boy for Rs 3.4 lakh.
