GHAZIABAD: The two cousins, whose bodies were found in two farms 800m apart in Tila Mor on Wednesday, were tortured before being killed, the autopsy report has revealed.Gaurav and Durgesh Kasana were missing since December 31. Police said that their faces were smashed with bricks before the accused slit their throats and left them to die. Their faces were also burnt partially, possibly with acid, so that they are not identified easily.”The autopsy report has revealed the use of some acidic substance on the faces of the two youths. They died four days ago. It looks like the accused had hidden their bodies for some time and dumped them either on the night of January 3 or the next morning,” said Diksha Sharma, DCP (trans-Hindon area). While Gaurav had one bullet wound in the chest, there were none on Durgesh’s body.On Thursday, the owner of an illegal chemical factory near the two farms where the bodies were found was booked on a complaint by Rohtash Kasana, Durgesh’s father. The family members of the two youths had alleged that they had objected to the chemical factory as it caused a lot of pollution in the area. The villagers believe workers in the factory may have had a role in the double murder.”An FIR has been registered against the owner of the chemical factory under sections 302 (murder) and 201 (causing disappearance of evidence of offence, or giving false information to screen offender) of the IPC. Five teams have been formed to nab the accused. So far, we have detained five persons for questioning. An investigation is underway,” the DCP said.
