NEW DELHI: Several leaders of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) hailed the renaming of the famous Mughal Gardens to ‘Amrit Udyan’ and termed the decision as “historic” with one of them stating that it demonstrates that India is moving beyond a mentality of being a slave.The humidity oscillated between 89% to 51%. The city’s 24-hour air quality index (AQI) was recorded at 236 at 4pm, officials said. An AQI between 201 and 300 is considered “poor”, 301 and 400 “very poor”, and 401 and 500 “severe”. The weatherman has forecast a generally cloudy sky with light rain for Sunday. The maximum and minimum temperature will settle around 17 and 11 degrees Celsius, they said. The city is likely to witness partly cloudy sky on Monday and mainly clear sky from January 31 till February 3.(With inputs from PTI)
