NEW DELHI: Delhi saw a slight rise in the maximum temperature but the respite from the extreme heat conditions continued on Monday. The temperature may continue to rise further for the next couple of days. However, according to the weather department, Delhi-NCR is likely to see another spell of rain from Thursday, which may bring the temperature down.On Monday, the maximum temperature at Safdarjung, the city’s base station, was recorded at 34.5 degrees Celsius, three notches below normal, as against 31.3 degrees Celsius a day earlier. The minimum temperature was 19 degrees Celsius, four notches below normal, as against 23.2 degrees Celsius a day earlier. The humidity oscillated between 58% and 38%.The maximum and minimum temperatures may hover around 36 degrees Celsius and 18 degrees Celsius, respectively, on Tuesday.
