Very light rain or thundershowers may lash the capital on August 29NEW DELHI: The weather is expected to remain mostly dry in the next six days. Rain may lash Delhi by month-end, according to India Meteorological Department. The maximum temperature dipped from 36.1 degrees Celsius on Monday to 35.5 degrees Celsius, one notch above normal, on Tuesday due to overcast skies. The minimum temperature was recorded at 27.2 degrees Celsius, one degree above normal. The relative humidity oscillated between 88% and 58%. A met official said, “The monsoon trough has shifted far from Delhi and rain is unlikely for the next few days.” According to the forecast of the weather department, there will be generally cloudy skies for the next few days. There is a possibility of very light rain or drizzle on August 25. Very light rain or thundershowers may lash the capital on August 29. Delhi’s air quality improved from ‘moderate’ category on Monday to ‘satisfactory’ category on Tuesday. The overall Air Quality Index was 83 as against 104 a day earlier.
