NEW DELHI: Delhi Police has reunited three children with their families in north Delhi’s Kishanganj. Police said the children had stepped out of their locality while playing but lost their way back home. They were rescued by a trust and were taken to a children’s home, senior officials said.Police received information on Friday that three children had been missing since Thursday afternoon. DCP (north) Sagar Singh Kalsi said multiple teams were formed to search for the children. “Details of all three children were uploaded on ZIP Net. Teams were directed to check nearby hospitals, police stations, bus stops, railway stations and NGOs. With the help of questioning and CCTV footage, it was found that in the frolic of their games the children had strayed from their homes,” the DCP said.Kalsi said that while looking for clues, a team reached Old Delhi railway station, where during interrogation they found that three children had been rescued by Salaam Baalak Trust. “It was found that all the three children were kept at Holy Cross children’s home and were safe,” the officer said.
