NOIDA: A 21-year-old engineering student was among three people who fell to death from buildings in the city since Friday afternoon.While the student fell from the eighth floor of a condominium in Sector 100 on Friday night, an 11-year-old boy allegedly slipped and fell from the fourth floor of a building in Salarpur village. An 18-year-old machine operator also succumbed to injuries after falling from the terrace of his factory in Sector 63 on Saturday. Apart from these three deaths, a five-year-old boy who had walked out of bed while his parents were still asleep allegedly fell through the grille of an eighth-floor balcony of a highrise in Sector 78 and died early on Friday morning.11-yr-old boy falls off terrace in Noida, dies Police said the engineering student of a college in Mathura was visiting his parents – residents of Lotus Boulevard – during his summer break. The third-year student, police suspect, may have jumped to his death around 11.15pm on Friday from the eighth floor of tower number 10 of the society.”One of Lotus Boulevard’s security guards informed police that a person had fallen from an upper floor of the society’s tower 10 and landed on the balcony shed above the first floor. The man suffered severe injuries to the head. A team of officials immediately reached the society and took the youth to the district hospital, where doctors declared him dead on arrival,” ACP (Noida 1) Rajneesh Verma said. The body was sent for autopsy.In another incident, an 11-year-old boy died after falling off the terrace of his four-storey house in Salarpur village. “The boy, Bikki, was playing on the terrace on Saturday afternoon. Preliminary probe suggests he accidentally came too close to the railing and fell off after losing balance,” the ACP said.Bikki was the youngest of three siblings. His father, Jay Narayan, works at a factory in Phase 2. “The family was at home when the incident occurred. They rushed the boy to a hospital with the help of locals but he died before reaching the centre. Police have not yet received any complaint in the matter yet,” Verma said.An 18-year-old factory worker, meanwhile, fell off the second floor of the building in Sector 63 and died.”The incident occurred around 1pm at a garments manufacturing factory. The deceased, Prashant, was from Bulandshahr and was employed as a machine operator in the company. His body was sent for autopsy and the reports are awaited,” said Amit Maan, the SHO of Sector 62.
