GHAZIABAD: A 28-year-old man was arrested on Tuesday in connection with a murder case of a 55-year-old labourer in Khora on Sunday. According to the police, the accused, Vineet Bhati is a resident of Vandana Enclave in Khora and Jagdish Kumar, was a native of Hardoi and was returning home after attending a jagran in the locality. Diksha Sharma, DCP (trans Hindon) told TOI:“During interrogation, Bhati said that in the jagran, he had asked Kumar to give money for liquor but he refused, after which Kumar got angry and a heated argument took place. Subsequently, Bhati went to his house and came back with a knife, waiting for Kumar outside his house. Around 3.45am, when Jagdish came, Vineet stopped his way and stabbed him.” Bhati was booked for murder and arrested on Tuesday from Khora.
