GURUGRAM: Two teachers of a madrassa and a cook have been summoned for questioning by Nuh police, a day after the body of an 11-year-old boy was found buried in sand in one of the rooms there. Police said they have formed six teams under Nuh superintendent of police Varun Singla to investigate the case. No arrests have been made yet. The boy’s family told TOI that he had joined the madrassa near their house in Shahchoka village last year to learn Urdu and Arabic languages. The 11-year-old lost his father four years ago to an illness. He lived with his mother, a domestic help, and three sisters in a one-room accommodation at the Shahchoka village. The last they saw the boy was on September 2, when he had gone for evening prayers at the madrassa. Later that evening, they received a call from a teacher at the madrassa, telling them that the boy had gone to buy some candies from a kiosk with his friends, but he didn’t return. They frantically searched for him, up to the neighbouring Rajasthan border, until they got a call from one of the teachers on Monday, saying his body had been found inside the madrassa. “Not even in our wildest dreams could we have thought that the boy would be found dead inside such a pious place. The teachers told us that he went missing from the outside, so it never occurred to us that we should check the madrassa,” his uncle said. The uncle filed a police complaint on Monday, and an FIR was registered against unidentified accused under IPC Section 302 (murder). “We were shocked. We asked them not to touch the body. When we reached the madrassa, he was covered in sand and the body was partially decomposed. We couldn’t recognise him… until one of us cleaned his face and saw him… it was our son. We informed the police after this,” the uncle said. Police said they are waiting for the autopsy report. “We have summoned three persons, who will be interrogated. No arrests have been made yet. We are waiting for the autopsy report to get some clarity on the nature of the death,” said SP Singla.
