NEW DELHI: The All India Congress Committee on Thursday appointed seven committees of senior party functionaries in wake of the upcoming municipal polls and included former MP Jagdish Tyler, one of the main accused in 1984 anti-Sikh riots, in one of them. As per the AICC list released by party general secretary KC Venugopal, Tytler is the part of 40-member Pradesh election committee, which also includes former Union ministers Ajay Maken and Krishna Tirath, several ex-Delhi MPs and MLAs. Several BJP functionaries took to social media to express their anger. A senior party functionary, however, said there is no case against Tytler and a dedicated worker. He is one of the several former MPs of Delhi who have been included in the election committee. The other committees announced by the Congress include manifesto, campaign, media, social media and publicity.
