NEW DELHI: Water supply in several areas of south Delhi including Lajpat Nagar, Greater Kailash, Vasant Kunj, Sri Niwaspuri and Malviya Nagar would be disrupted on March 13 and 14 as the Delhi Jal Board (DJB) will conduct maintenance work.The DJB said that “due to some maintenance work in South Delhi and leakage repairing work, the water supply in South Delhi from Sonia Vihar Water Treatment Plant shall remain affected for 12 hours on 13-03-2023 from 10.00 am onwards.” Water will not be available on March 13 evening and will be available at low pressure on March 14 morning, the Jal Board said. The Delhi Jal Board advised city dwellers to store sufficient water in advance as per requirement. It added that water tankers will be available on request.Areas where supply will be affected Kailash Nagar, Sarai Kale Khan, Jal Vihar, Lajpat Nagar, Moolchand Hospital, Greater Kailash, Vasant Kunj, Devli, Ambedkar Nagar, Okhla, Kalkaji, Kalkaji Extension, Govindpuri, GB Pant Polytechnic, Shyam Nagar Colony.Water supply would also be affected in Okhla Sabzi Mandi, Amar Colony, Dakshin Puri, Panchsheel Park, Shahpur Jat, Kotla Mubarakpur, Sarita Vihar, Sidhartha Nagar, Apollo, GK North, Malviya Nagar, Deer Park, Gitanjali Enclave, Sri Niwaspuri, GK South, Chhatarpur, part of NDMC and their adjoining areas.The board also shared helpline numbers for the areas concerned. Low water levels had hit production at the Wazirabad and the Chandrawal plant.For the over past one week, water supply to Moolchand, South Extension, Greater Kailash, Kalkaji, Govindpuri, Tughlakabad, Sangam Vihar and Ambedkar Nagar in south Delhi as well as Civil lines, Model Town, Kamla Nagar in north and Karol Bagh, Paharganj in central Delhi has seen disruptions.
