GURGAON: With two days to go for Haryana board exams, the state government on Friday directed all districts to enforce Section-144 of the Code of Criminal Procedure (CrPC) around all testing centres to restrict gatherings and lower the chances of cheating.Chief secretary Sanjeev Kaushal issued the directions to the deputy commissioners of 22 districts after reviewing preparations for the board exams that begin on February 27. “Adequate police arrangements must be deployed at the examination centres two hours before the commencement of the examination to prevent outside interference. It should be ensured that all photostat shops around the examination centres will remain closed during the papers,” chief secretary said in the order.Around 300 CM Flying Squads are also to be deployed for Class 10 and 12 exams being conducted by the Board of School Education-Haryana (BSEH).The district administration issued a similar order soon after the chief secretary’s instructions. “Gathering without purpose and operating photostat machines will be prohibited within 200 metres of the examination centres. Along with this, carrying firearms and other items capable of causing injury, raising slogans, and displaying placards have also been banned in the above-mentioned area (near examination centres). If anyone is found guilty of disobeying the issued orders, action will be taken,” said deputy commissioner Nishant Yadav.
