NOIDA: The District Combined Hospital in Sector 30 has started issuing digitised OPD slips to patients. The hospital management said four systems at the health facility would allow a central database of all patients coming to the hospital. Started under the E- Sushrut initiative of the state government, a central registration number will be allowed for each patient reaching out at the registration counter of the hospital OPD. The doctors said the CRN number will remember the details of the patients along with their ailment, line of treatment and other medical records for future reference. “In case a patient visits other government hospitals in other districts of the state, the CRN number will show the patient’s medical history for better treatment. As of now, four systems have been deployed to issue digital OPD slips,” said Dr Pawan Kumar, the chief medical superintendent at the District Combined Hospital. The senior health officials in Gautam Budh Nagar said details of pregnant people consulting private hospitals, institutional delivery, routine immunisation and pathological tests are crucial and must be reported to the health department. The officials further said details of childbirth and death, and male and female sterilisation done every month, are among 24 pointers that are now mandatory for updating on the Health Management Information System (HMIS) portal. During the meetings, the officials said so far, 18 private hospitals are updating their data every month on child and maternal care. Other hospitals have also been asked to update their monthly data to the health department. In addition, hospitals associated with the Hausala Sajhedari initiative for male and female sterilisation and also with Ayushman Bharat have been sent a format for sending their monthly data on the health services provided.
