By Amit KumarKARNAL: Panipat Police on Monday arrested a man who allegedly killed his lover’s husband and buried his body inside a room of his house at Patti Kalyana village under Samalkha sub-district in Haryana’s Panipat district. The body of the victim — identified as Ravi (35), a resident of the Patti Kalyana village — was exhumed Sunday, almost a week after he was murdered. Police said that the accused has been identified as Parveen. As per the family members, on December 11, Ravi went to Karnal to purchase a car, but didn’t return. Next day, they approached the police and filed a complaint. On Sunday, police recovered the body buried inside a room and arrested the accused, who revealed that he had an illicit relation with the wife of the deceased. But recently Ravi got to know about their relationship. On December 11, Parveen called Ravi to his home for having a drink and made him drink a poison-laced substance. After that, he hit on his head, leading to death. Thereafter, he buried the body inside the room. Sunil Kumar, SHO, Samalkha police station said that a case has been registered against Parveen under Sections 302 and other relevant sections of the Indian Penal Code.
