DELHI: Delhi CM Arvind Kejriwal on Tuesday said BJP was troubled by the love and adulation he was getting and was levelling baseless allegations against him ahead of the MCD and Gujarat assembly polls. With BJP calling for a polygraph test on him and his cabinet colleague Satyendar Jain on the basis of letters written by jailed conman Sukesh Chandrasekhar, Kejriwal dared the Centre to arrest him for corruption. Neither Corrupt Nor A Terrorist: Kejriwal Daring the Centre to arrest him if he was corrupt, Delhi CM Arvind Kejriwal said he was neither a terrorist nor corrupt but a “darling of the people”. He also asked the Centre to tell people what happened to the inquiry set up against him before the Punjab assembly polls earlier this year on a complaint that he was a terrorist. “Before the Punjab elections, PM (Narendra Modi) said Kejriwal is a terrorist. Home minister (Amit Shah) set up an inquiry. What happened to it? Now, before the Gujarat and the MCD polls, they are saying Kejriwal is corrupt. If Kejriwal is a terrorist or is corrupt arrest him no?” Kejriwal tweeted. The AAP national convener is currently in Gujarat campaigning for the party. BJP and AAP are pitted against each other in the Delhi municipal polls too, which will be held on December 4. Referring to a series of letters written by Chandrasekhar to lieutenant governor V K Saxena alleging that he paid money for his protection in jail and also for a Rajya Sabha seat, BJP has been demanding a CBI investigation, a polygraph (lie detector) test on Kejriwal and former health minister Satyendar Jain and shifting of the latter to a jail outside Delhi. Jain, who was holding the portfolio of the department of prisons before his arrest in a money laundering case earlier this year, is currently under judicial custody in Tihar Jail. AAP has claimed that the letters written by Chandrasekhar were “fake” and were contrived by BJP fearing defeat in the upcoming civic and state polls. AAP had also said that similar baseless allegations were levelled against Kejriwal ahead of the Punjab polls too when BJP made Kumar Vishwas claim that the Delhi chief minister wanted to make Punjab into a separate country and become its Prime Minister.
