Days after Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal urged the Centre to include images of Lakshmi and Ganesh on currency notes, the AAP leader wrote to Prime Minister Narendra Modi with the same demand. “I have written a letter to the prime minister, on behalf of 130 crore Indians that the images of Lakshmi-Ganesh ji should also be put on the Indian currency along with Mahatma Gandhi,” he said.
AAP leaders staged protests in several constituencies of the national capital on Friday against “garbage mismanagement” in the city by the Municipal Corporation of Delhi. Several leaders including Kalkaji MLA Atishi, Tilak Nagar MLA Jarnail Singh, Vikas Puri MLA Mahendra Yadav and Kondli MLA Kuldeep Kumar joined the protest in their respective constituencies, PTI reported.
Taking a boat ride along the Yamuna near Kalindi Kunj to point out “toxic foam” floating on the surface, BJP MPs Parvesh Verma and Manoj Tiwari Thursday hit out at Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal for failing to clean the river. Kejriwal hit back, asking the BJP to give an account of its 15 years in the MCD. This comes ahead of Chhath Puja, which will be celebrated from October 28 to 31 this year. Kejriwal, who visited the Ghazipur landfill site on Thursday launched a scathing attack on BJP ahead of the MCD polls and said BJP has given Delhi nothing except garbage and mountains of dirt. ‘If we don’t clean Delhi in 5 years, don’t vote for us,’ Kejriwal said. He said BJP workers will leave the party one day. “A day will come when BJP waalas will leave the BJP. A day will come when even Sambit Patra will say BJP is a gandi party. I’m a jaadugar (magician), I know how to win people’s hearts.” Kejriwal said.

As Kerala School at Delhi’s Canning Road gears up for an arts festival, many in attendance would be reminded of the annual school and college competitions conducted back in the state.
Conducted by the Kerala government’s information and public relations department and Kerala House in Delhi, Thina Delhi Kalostavam 2022, organised on October 22 and 26, has participants from universities such the JNU, Jamia Millia Islamia, University of Delhi, Central University of Rajasthan, Amity University and Ambedkar University Delhi.
