(Representative image)NEW DELHI: A 20-year-old man was stabbed to death in the Vivek Vihar area on Friday. Four juveniles have been apprehended in the case. Police are trying to ascertain whether there was a love angle that led to the murder. The deceased was identified as Yuvraj, a resident of Kasturba Nagar, who was studying in Class XII through open schooling. He was found lying on the roadside in Jwala Nagar. He was rushed to the hospital but was declared dead. The hospital informed police about the incident around 9 pm. An initial probe revealed that just before the incident, the victim was having drinks at Shamshan Ghat in Jwala Nagar with his friends Prince and Akash. At the same time, four boys aged around 16 reached the area where the victim and his friends were drinking. Yuvraj had an altercation over an affair of one of the juveniles with a girl with whom he was also talking. “During this argument, three minors caught Yuvraj and the fourth juvenile, who was having an affair with the girl, took out a knife and stabbed him in his left thigh and fled away from the spot,” deputy commissioner of police (Shahdara) R Sathiyasundaram said. He further said, a case under sections 302 (punishment for murder) and 34 (acts done by several persons in furtherance of common intention) of IPC was registered and the four juveniles were apprehended. They were later sent to a juvenile home and the weapon of offence, a knife, was recovered. FOLLOW US ON SOCIAL MEDIAFacebookTwitterInstagramKOO APPYOUTUBE
