CHANDIGARH: A team of Haryana Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) caught an employee of Narnaul Municipal Council in Mahendergarh district while accepting a bribe of Rs 15,000 in lieu of releasing grant under Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana. The bureau has also nabbed a woman employee on the charge of demanding bribe.An ACB spokesperson said on Tuesday that the arrested employee has been identified as Arjun who was posted as a surveyor in the civic body, while the woman employee has been identified as Deepika.Complainant Pankaj, who did not wish to pay the bribe money, had approached the ACB. After verifying the facts, the bureau team raided and arrested Arjun and Deepika.The team of Anti-Corruption Bureau has started the investigation by registering a case against both the accused under the Prevention of Corruption Act in Gurugram.
